JUst watched Jeanne Maserve on CNN (I know I know blasphemy) -- She said that the comments earlier that New Orleans looked to have dodged the bullet are wrong. She said that now that she is out and about that what she is seeing is "armageddon".
I really do think words like this should be used sparingly by reporters. I mean, something like that doesn't leave much higher up on the descriptive scale of things does it? But I guess if it warrants it....
So has she moved out of the downtown area then? Getting hard to track this.

Brian Williams reported in the 5:30pm news that through all of this at the Superdome, not a single announcement has been made to the crowd, no information whatsoever.
What an excellent job of planning for an emergency that they knew was coming and had almost 40 years to prepare for. I guess the mayor doesn't know if he has the legal authority to give out just a bit of info to try and calm the restlessness and anxiety.
