That's a HUGE hole in the dike holding a HUGE lakefull of jillions of cu. yards of water, which is above the city. The water is continuously flowing out now and has been since late this morning. There's 6 ft. of water in downtown NO now, and more constantly pouring in. The gal at Tulane Hosp. said the water was rising an inch every 5 mins., I believe, and we've heard nothing about repairing the breach or even any official announcement of this dangerous problem.

The place and the surrounding areas are already flooded .. where will all the water go?

We could also begin to see the Mississippi River start to back up. All that water forced into this delta could clog or slow the flow of water within the river. New Orleans could end up receiving four major flooding inputs. Torrential rain from Hurricane. Storm surge from Ocean. Overflow from Lake Ponchatrain. Overflow from the rising Mississippi. And the general Mississippi flow may have backed up and their could be millions of gallon of that backed up water still trying to flow through the delta.
