It doesn't matter .. I'm sure the cops must have a supply of flexcuffs and locked rooms to store any offenders, but just think about 6' of water now in downtown NO, and more water pouring in uncontrollaby .. there's no place to take these evacuees in the Dome, plus think of all the people who partied in the FQ after the worst of the storm passed, thinking they were home free. Well, now the reporters, residents, etc. are there .. and the water is as surely going to go there too, making survivors of the hurricane potential victims of the flood.

This is a calamitous and deadly situation .. I just don't see how thousands of people (1,000 people alone in Tulane hospital, most of whom have to be airlifted they're so sick) are going to be able to rescued from this catastrophe.

I'm glad to know the Corps of Engineers is working on it .. but I think it will take a miracle to save the people in the city of New Orleans from this impending disaster.

CNN- Sanchez: Spoke to official: can confirm a 200' break in the 17th St. Canal .. the Lake is above New Orleans ..

Jeeze .. this news was out hours ago, and if someone hasn't even announced the problem and spoken about solutions and thier evacuation plans for the further flooding, my mind is boggled. I think people must be paralyzed by the enormity of all the problems .. I can't imagine what the h*ll is going on. SOMEbody has to have some kind of plan to prevent the additional deaths that are surely coming.
