The Lake Ponchartrain Causeway that is the longest bridge in the world is a different bridge from the I-10 Bridge at Slidell that apparently has been destroyed.
The internet is filled with info and pics of the causesway, and has virtually no info on the I-10 bridge (Which is much shorter, but much, much more important.)
The Causeway is considered unsafe for use until it can be inspected.
The I-10 bridge is apparently just plain *gone* from some reports.
