Yes, it has been reported to be rising all day. Apparently too many pumps are down and there is a backflow in some of the pipes. Also an official this afternoon talked about the levees haven't been breached, but some water is getting past them. Didn't specify whether it was overtopping, perculating leaks, or the aforementioned backflow. Thankfully there are barricades up and they are not allow persons back into the city. No way they can do that until all the levees are checked for integrity.
I have a question for you all: all this rain/water that is going north now, isn't it just going to come right back down the Mississippi?
