Tancredo's plan is acceptable because it is not amnesty. You can trivialize that as a "detail" all you like, but the reality is that it makes a very substantial difference.

Very true. And Tancredo's plan is also acceptable because it does not allow any guests until very rigorous enforcement criteria are met. This prevents another bait and switch like we got with the Reagan Amnesty where we were promised enforcement but it never materialized. Tancredo's plan is better than the other two because it puts enforcement first.
