What was accomplished?...

Now that the nation has experienced the "Battle of the Moms" in Crawford, Texas, what have the organizers of Move America Forward (California Congressional hopeful Howard Kaloogian) accomplished with this high priced media caravan?
What did they accomplish, other than boosting Cindy Sheehan's media attention when her saga was growing old and cold. The folks at Move'on and "Sheehan Tent and Awning" should send Move America Forward a donation check...nothing better than 'un-efforted' attention from the press. Just get the name spelled right.
Has MAF produced a desired result for the military, for the citizens of this country, or have the founders of MAF created another attention grabbing 'stunt' for their web site and future political campaigns?
What argument has MAF funded with this latest stunt?
What ideological core value has MAF offered America? That a majority of Americans are for the war against terrorism, and a little under half of the citizens are not? Didn't we know this already?
Over the weekend, I heard numerous anchors recite the same tag line after returning from a 'live report' from Crawford, Texas. The studio anchor, or 'anchorette', would simple say, "Emotions are running high on both sides". And they are right.
This latest stunt has done nothing but create emotions...[more]

I believe the Caravan was targeted at raising the morale of the troops, who have been inundated with non-stop Cindy Sheehan antics for weeks now.
Mission accomplished.

Mr. Hogue, if you have to ask what MAF accomplished with the counter-protest, you'll never get it.

Precisely. I wonder if Eric is suffering from "activist envy" in that Melanie Morgan of KSFO was front-and-center in this effort.

More proof that Hogue has lost his mind.

I have the impression that this fool's sole knowledge of what took place in Crawford yesterday is derived from the MSM's highly biased and incomplete reports.
Perhaps someone ought to direct this moron to the thread linked to image below ...
... maybe he'll get a clue!

Confronting the dipsticks in a polite non-violent way lets them know that it ain't gonna be as easy as it was 35 years ago. It should happen everywhere they stick their snouts up.

I tend to agree with the author of this piece, because the best way to undermine an hysteric is to totally ignore her.

'Ignore them and eventually they'll go away' is not a sound strategy most of the time. It's true the wise fighter picks his battles carefully, weighing the advantages and measuring the outcome, otherwise effort is scattered and wasted. I say exposing 'Mother Sheehan' for the ruthless, cynical political manipulator she is makes sound political sense. The reason the positive publicity surrounding this woman is dying down (finally) is that true-blue conservatives are on-site, showing the world the carefully orchestrated exercise in media manipulation the Sheehan antiwar event truly is. Nothing quite captured it better for me than the photo of Sheehan and Al Sharpton in that private little grieving moment of theirs, as they stand among those pathetic little crosses--the perfect media moment, that is, until you see the zoom-back shot, showing them surrounded by a crowd of media, media advisors, and political consultants pushing this for all they're worth. For me, that photo was almost as good as the Marines raising the flag at Iwo Jima.

President Bush's supporters poured into Crawford by the thousands Saturday,
for the first time outnumbering war protesters led by Cindy Sheehan,
who began a vigil here three weeks ago,
demanding a personal meeting with the vacationing president
to talk about her son's death in Iraq.

President Bush already met with Cindy Sheehan in June 2004 for 10 minutes.

I listened to Melanie Morgan on her radio show this morning. She spoke about how there were many many reporters covering the event, and yet none of them dared to show any footage of her at all. I think the event was another attempt to out the MSM as Lefty partisans.

Well, I will ignore you but I won't ignore a threat our my way of life that our sons and daughters are fighting for. Go to your hidey-hole and "ignore" whomever you will but I no longer will ignore Marxists/Socialists/Hippie bastards as they demonstrate against this country and try to bring it down.
We tried to "ignore" them in the 60s and 70s thinking they would crawl back under their rocks, now my main objective is to DRIVE them under their rocks.
Never again.
