Pray about the people and then the buildings. I have a real regard for the beaches there, too. They have such beautiful sand.

Is he at the Beau Rivage? My s-i-l sent me e-mail from Jackson saying that she'd heard that water was into the second floor of the Beau. She said that downtown Jackson is being evacuated, so she's leaving work. My b-i-l is in Gulfport, I'm fixing to try to call him.

Just listening to the live press conference. Haley Barbour just said that looters will be handled RUTHLESSLY! He said they will be handled as strongly as the law allows.

I have family members who left NO going up to Hattiesburg MS to get away from the storm! They are going to have winds in H'burg just as bad as they would have had in NO, but they're not likely to get the flooding they would have had in the city.
