slidell was under water last I heard.

Thanks for the info, I've gotten freepmails requesting any info on Slidell. Topo map suggests that most of the town is below 20' (though I-12 may have worked as a levee for the north side), don't know what the storm surge was forecast for there, but it ranged from 15' at NO to 28' at Gulfport.

WWL: 10+" of rain in Slidell, storm still hasn't moved out (so can't get in there yet), winds now shifted from the S to W to from the NW (so would be driving the surge away from shore now.)
