I am looking for any information on Slidell and the north shore. I think it probably got a direct hit from the wall of the storm. This area has gone entirely unmentioned by the media and it may well turn out to have suffered the worst damage. Many, many people there didn't think they needed to evacuate. Please post what you hear.
Just heard that flooding in Sidell is "serious"...That's all. Local ABC affiliate.

You are not alone. There seems to be a growing no. of people posting looking for news on Slidell. Not much is coming out. This gives me a very bad feeling - no news is definitely not good news in this case. Whenever something re Slidell comes up, someone will post it I'm sure.
I heard FNC weatherbunny say it was trashed, showed a map and how it was in the path of the worst winds etc etc ....no pics or other direct reports seen just saw yer point at Sidell on her map......
A couple of posts above say Slidell is under water.
