I think you'll still have the event.....they'll have that hotel fixed before they fix Ma and Pa Kettles home down there IMO.....money is served first. But then if it's all bad you may have to share your room with fifty or so refugees.

The competition is being held in the New Orleans Arena.

Everyone sings 2 songs in the first round. If you're good enough to make it to the finals, your group sings two more songs specific to the style then other extra songs to fill a 10-12 minute time slot on stage. My quartet is singing this one and this one, which was #1 on the Hit Parade in 1927 :-), in the first round.
