I think just about every news outlet has someone standing outside in the middle of the storm -- seemed yesterday all of them had reporters standing where the surf was coming up and the wind was blowing the trees violently. And this was well before Katrina hit.
These news folks aren't going to learn till one of their kind gets killed covering storms like this. Sorry, but I don't think we need to have a guy standing outside in the middle of a fierce hurricane to tell us how bad it is.
