I watched FOX yesterday for 14 hours. But when Whorealdo came on I almost switched channels.

I finally realize who Whorealdo reminds me of. Ted Baxter from the old Mary Tyler Moore show. He sounded just like him during his first several minutes on the air.

Geraldo is all hype and no substance. He kept talking about this being the worst hurricane ever and how bad he felt for those in NO, but when he heard it had begun to slow down, I thought he was going to cry in disappointment.

I doubt an oil spill, the rig is usualy disbonnected from the BOP as part of storm preperation.

The report I heard said that the wind was so strong that, even though there were no tornados per se, the entire area was enduring F1 tornado strength winds.

Pumps went out? All of them? I heard four or so went out. There are 22 pumping stations in N.O. They have generators and the stations are normally manned but not sure if they are running the generators and still pumping.

A wind problem. The windows were lost due to wind, not barometric pressure.

Winds come and go here,,lots of tree limbs coming down. A neighbor just walked by with his lab and his wife. All I could do not to scream at them.

The lab looked mighty happy, frisking around in the wind.

I hate when I am 'disbonnect from the BOP'.

noticed that too...also noticed an increase and deepening of the convection in the western portion of the eye wall and there abouts......its got to be a blinding wind driven horizontal rain in NOLA right now....

The awe inspiring power of these storms is incredible to witness....Unfortunately it comes with a deep price....
