Bush vs. The Mother ('Rolling Stone' Writer: 'Cindy's Ex 'a coward,' Crawford is 'dog s***')
Rolling Stone Magazine ^ | September 8, 2005 | Matt Taibbi

Posted on 08/28/2005 10:30:12 PM PDT by L.N. Smithee

Crawford, the home of President George W. Bush, is a sun-scorched hole of a backwater Texas town -- a single dreary railroad crossing surrounded on all sides by roasted earth the color of dried dog s---. There are scattered clumps of trees and brush, but all the foliage seems bent from the sun's rays and ready at any moment to burst into flames.

The moaning cattle along the lonely roads sound like they're begging for their lives. The downtown streets are empty. Just as the earth is home to natural bridges, this place is a natural dead end -- the perfect place to drink a bottle of Lysol, wind up in a bad marriage, have your neck ripped out by a vulture.

It is a very unlikely place for a peace movement to be born. But that's exactly what happened a few weeks ago, when an aggrieved war mom named Cindy Sheehan set up camp along the road to the president's ranch and demanded a meeting with the commander in chief.

"Shes already been quoted that the war will end because of her 'vigil'"

How could anything else possibly happen?

After all, the "universe" is aligned with her cause. She is but the humble servant the forces have chosen to use.

She's being used all right...but it doesn't have anything to do with any New Age crap about the "universe".

And if you're going to be Playboy, the pictures are essential. At least Playboy has good scenery.

Anyone who thinks Hanoi Kerry and Hanoi Jane
aren't behind the anti war crowd
needs to get a clue.

Dallas/Fort Worth Star-Telegram 8-28-05 Jack Douglas Jr.
CRAWFORD TX-
President Bush's supporters poured into Crawford by the thousands Saturday,
for the first time outnumbering war protesters led by Cindy Sheehan,
who began a vigil here three weeks ago,
demanding a personal meeting with the vacationing president
to talk about her son's death in Iraq.

Lame Stream Media : News Flash!

President Bush already met with Cindy Sheehan in June 2004 for 10 minutes.

From The Reporter, Vacaville, CA archive: Bush, Sheehans share moments.

Quit lying!!!!

No one seemed to notice that Sheehan's being "chosen by the universe to be the spark" statement almost suggests Casey had to give his life so she could be revive the antiwar movement.

But don't get her wrong -- it's all about Casey.

Crawford, the home of President George W. Bush, is a sun-scorched hole of a backwater Texas town -- a single dreary railroad crossing surrounded on all sides by roasted earth the color of dried dog s---.

Does it not occur to the bi-coastal urban lefty elitists that real people like living in small towns, especially small towns in the heartland? And that, yeah, it gets hot here in August...but we can handle it...and the winter's not so bad.

Does it not occur to the bi-coastal urban lefty elitists that real people consider their expensive, crowded home towns to be undesirable? Otherwise all us rubes and yokels out here would live in New Jersey, too.

When I see what the lefty establishment has done to the most beautiful city in America -- San Francisco -- I hardly think they can complain about Crawford and "roasted earth the color of dog s---".

At least, it doesn't smell like it -- which is more than the city by the bay can say.

Liberals spawn such hate in their young. He is trying to hard to impress his dad.

He will be embarrassed when he grows up, hopefully.

>>>>... I was so afflicted during the first go-round of this anti-American "peace" B.S. in the sixties.
Fortunately, my cure took.

Glad you've fully recovered.

Learned about the leftwing at an early age. The Big Apple was a great training ground to battle the `60's liberal mindset in the political arena of ideas. Conservatism is a way of life and one I'm proud to advance at every opportunity.

I thought Rolling Stone was so stoned that it drowned in a river 20 years ago.

It would be interesting to see how they described Poppa Bush's place. "President Bush is secluded in his massive seaside estate, far away from a world at war and an economy in trouble. He spends his day cruising the ocean on his yacht, sipping expensive champagne, eating the finest catch of the day - truly a life of the rich and famous..."

"...a single dreary railroad crossing surrounded on all sides by roasted earth the color of dried dog shit."

Sounds like most anywhere in the Middle East.

I heard that she is going to Washington D.C. We'll see. Hopefully she goes back to see her mother and thank god she still has her.

That's where she should be, I know I would be with my mother. She's truly hypnotized that she's important now, wait until they are done with her, she'll be lost.

Such an utter waste of paper, this magazine is.
