They said earlier today this is not a Red Cross emergency center. BUT, I also heard them say the National Guard would bring food & water? Did they change that?

FOX reported earlier that the national guard has already delivered water and food inside....(they don't come empty handed)

Well...we've done all we can. Brought mom from Gulf Shores to our home in Fairhope. My sister in Mobile is 'sheltering in place'. I must confess, we still have some boards left up from Dennis. This redneck woman leaves her Christmas lights AND hurrican boards up all year long! lol (not really..well, not the boards at least!)

Many prayers and good thoughts to those directly in Katrinas path. Stay safe!

Mayor is telling people to bring their own food and water to the Superdome, enough to last 3 to 5 days. I don't know of any other plans...just responding to a previous post that said there were no plans to provide food to the people there.

Nagin also said they were searching everybody going in, and had confiscated quite a few interesting items people were trying to bring in. Didn't elaborate, but I surmise booze, weapons, etc.
