Police Depts, fire Depts,Mayors, City Managers all have insider info well in advance. Blanco and that phlegmatic Mayor both knew Friday and hesitated like that idiot Mayor in "Jaws the Movie". I can tell you that when Andrew was approaching and the Local News media was monitoring the storm,they were downplaying it and saying it was not posing a threat when I got "the call" and had to notify My Shift Commander, and he in turn instructed me to notify EVERYONE.
