Richard Bliss needs an update. The University of Sarasota once had a few legitimate courses in counseling and business administration. It merged with an accredited University, Argosy, in 2001.

In 1978, When Bliss received his "PhD", Sarasota was not accredited for anything.

Interestingly, the morons at Answers in Genesis claim Bliss had an EdD. I guess they think that's more plausible, since Argosy does grant EdDs. Unfortunately, ICR still lists their (now deceased) curriculum director, Bliss, as having a PhD. Not only that, but he published books and articles as a PhD, and supervised grad students at ICR.
