Interesting statement here in the posted article:

I understand the author of the piece was referring to 19th century geologists and biologists. Yet the same sort of circular reasoning is employed today; at least several hundreds of millions of years must have passed in order to account for geological changes and the evolution of living things. Both depend critically upon energy from the sun, ergo the sun must be at least several hundreds of millions of years old. Another theory offered as proof . . .
