Someone needs to take a ball bat down to the funeral and adjust some attitudes.

If what I thought oughta happen to these protesters did, it would also detract from the memorial service. It's a can't win situation.

Amen to your comments.
It is beyond despicable, beyond bad taste and bad judgment that a protest should be made at a soldier's funeral.
It is an unforgivable act of callousness and a crude attempt at political exploitation which surely will backfire, but probably won't be covered by the ever-terrorist-enabling MSM.

This is deplorable. The peacenik movement is really showing its true colors.

"Gentlemen, we do not want war; but if they mean to have a war, let it begin here." Okay, brain burp- was it the Commander of Fort Sumpter who said that?
Probably been answered, but it was Captain John Parker, commanding the colonial Militia at Lexington, in 1775 (the British regulars then cleaned his clock, but by the end of the day they had suffered great losses and strategic defeat).

Did I post one of these quotes? The article was over six weeks ago, so I don't remember for certain, but I can't imagine myself saying one of those things. Speaking for myself, I am anything but a supporter of Fred Phelps or am skeptical that he is anything but an isolated wacko abusing the pulpit. Picketing anybody's funeral for any reason is deplorable.
