This storm has been steadily moving west/nw. I f she does not make a decidedly strong turn to the north Texans had better watch out. At the begining of last week she was predicted to go into the Florida panhandle or even the west Florida coast then moved west lanfall ever so slightly. The forecasters refused to discuss the possibility that this storm could travel further west. No wonder so many people ignore the forcasters.
It has been my experience that the best place to evacuate TO, is the first place that the forecasters predict landfall. These places usually have beautiful, clear weather while the hurricanes devastating down range.
They do it at their peril. Forecasters aren't perfect. Folks should still get out of harm's way. I'd rather evacuate and have it turn out to be a false alarm, than stay and find out I was wrong the hard way.

This thing is so flippin collosal everybody in the Gulf needs to take shelter at higher ground. I can't remember the last time I saw a hurricane suck in air mass from both the west and east oceans to fill the entire Gulf. My guess-timation is people from Galveston,Tx to Tallahasse, Fl. ARE going to experience this hurricane.
