The ostensible political purpose may be ending the war, but the immediate occupation for a sizable percentage of these people always seemed to be a kind of rolling adult tourist attraction called Hating George Bush. Marches become Hate Bush Cruises; vigils, Hate Bush Resorts...At one point at Camp Casey, an informal poll taken around a campfire revealed that six out of a group of ten protesters, selected at random, believed that the United States government was directly involved in planning the 9/11 bombings. Flabbergasted, I tried to press the issue.

I have a feeling this is just the beginning. They are going to be screaming from now until Nov 2006. We've already seen how the MSM focus on all the bad is affecting polling. They think they see an opening and they are going to do their best to exploit it.

What's killing me is that Sheehan (and whomever is now writing for her) gets bolder everyday on her blog(s), but they won't include it in their coverage--with a few noted exceptions. It's like they're trying to see how far they can go with the anti-American before they get called on it.

He's right about extremist. Be they on the right or left they contribute little light and lots of smoke to the issue of the day. When I was growing up those on the left were an excellent source of weed and it was free if you agreed with them and those on the right usually plied you with beer and liquor and if they were hard right you might even get a snort of home brew. Like my momma always said everybody has some good in them if you'll look for it.
