So Weldon was a no show and O'Reilly, who has an ego bigger than the country's smallest state, is in a snit and won't invite him again?

The one of the questioners who had the two sweating and had the lowdown on the Clintons was none other than Michael Chertoff. He knows much.No wonder he skated through confirmation, huh?

?....
The German intelligence service was aware of Atta and the Al Qaeda cell well in advance of 9/11. If they were aware, why wasn't the CIA/FBI/Customs aware? and,.....they being aware......so was ALL the rest of European Intel.....and all of the 'Wall' states' Intel/Blackmarket channels!
.....'EVERYBODY' must have 'known'.....except the U.S.A.

Yes, Id like to know who was briefed by Hadley after Hadley was briefed by Weldon.
My listing of pertinent Able Danger events included not only the initial DOD suppression of the Atta info, and the disbanding of the Able Danger team, but some other events including the disposition of the program source code and internal documentation, and the removal of the archived background data.
Then there's the issue of Schaffers boxes of documents (I assume generated reports) that have apparently been 'misplaced'.

I hope Weldon is parceling this data out a piece at a time to get the dims to lie, and then he brings out a little more info that confirms what he originally said. The dims have already had to backtrack at least once when confronted with data that contradicted their "mis-statements".
I hope he has the goods to shred them like the knife of a thousand cuts.

that seems to be the plan. and at this point it would be hard to argue that there isn't one. he is a good counter puncher. remember in a fight all the judges recall is the last good shot in the round.

I wonder if he ever reviewed the completed report and briefed the WH? Wow. I didn't know anything about that bit about Hadley. He's the second in command at the NSC?
So...the Bush administration knew about Able Danger two weeks after 9/11?
So why did they wait so long? Why did no one say something while Veniste was busily adjusting his cobalt blue handkerchief on TV?
This is all is really a mystery. A mystery that's been allowed to brew for a couple of years.
I have so many questions. Well let me just ask them.
Why is the Pentagon trying to hide this thing? Why didn't the Bush administration inform the American public about this?
I know why Gorelick, et all tried to hide it.
The only thing I can think of is that the Bush administration wanted to do some investigation. The administration wanted time to get people in the CIA, Pentagon, State, etc. They wanted some serious mining of data in those bureaucracies.
Evidence has been gathered. As the Bush administration knew it was going to need. They're up against the Lamestream press and are always aware of that.
I'm beginning to think Mohammed Atta was deliberately protected.
I'll offer up a scenario for what it's worth.
Forget The Wall of Gorelick. Forget the alleged ineptitude of the CIA, etc. It's possible it's way more than that.
Figure the layers upon layers upon layers of the terrorists organizations. Figure the Saudis finance a lot of it. Figure the UN's in on it. Figure the entire terrorist stuff is an insidious spider web with roots everywhere, including our own bureaucratic agencies.
So someone tells someone tells someone and then someone calls Bill Clinton:
"Hey, Bill. It's me, Marc," the phone conversation might begin.
"Listen, I got this doctor friend in Egypt. Says his son is studying over there in America. Says he's a good kid and they want him to come home soon. I was wondering if you'd kind of clear a path for him? Kind of keep the immigration hassles down, that type of thing? The Egyptian doctor promises to send Denise some bucks which she'll pass on to you."
Whatever happened, my questions are still many.
I trust Bush/Cheney. I think there was a matter to be gotten to the bottom of.
As with the words of "Desiderata", perhaps events are unfolding as they should.

"Someone tell the Leprechaun about this. He trivialized it last night and brushed off Col. Shaeffer on behalf of Hillary and her benefactor Rupert Murdoch."
ok. . .'the Leprechaun'. ..Do you mean, O'Reilly (?) (and that would be one tall 'wee person') but he does go out of his way to make nice. . .with Hillary.
Or is this Irish vision. . .someone else? Surely not Sean. . .

Want to know if Congressman Weldon or any of the known 'Able Danger' partaicipants have been threatened or intimated in any way. . .and by whom.
They better watch their dogs. . .and their tires; their travel routes. . .

the dam is bursting -- how long can the MSM continue to resist this incredibly important story? As long as it takes. . .and until another 'big' story comes along to give them an even bigger excuse to distract and deny. . (we know what they would really like to happen. . .).or just facilitate their dereliction of duty. . .
Meantime they have Natalie. . ....; John Roberts; sex offenders of all variations. . .and of course, the bi-monthly hurricane. . .but best of all and for now. . .they have 'Cindy'.

You touched on some things that have been bothering me. Talk to me about the transition of the national security teams in February, March and April. Do you know how many Clinton leftovers were working the threat assessments. If those briefing the President had been part of the previous administration there is no way this would not have been part of the institutional memory. The only thing that makes sense is the people involved in developing these assessments intentionally left this information out until the Able Danger program could be completely disassembled at which point there would be no reporting from the AD group.
