If parliamentary elections were held today, Party of regions would have taken the first place

All-Ukrainian sociological service conducted Gallup poll devoted to forthcoming parliamentary elections. If parliamentary elections were held today 16.8% of respondents would have voted for Party of Regions. The second place was gained by Bloc of Yulia Timoshenko with 15% and the third – by Socialistic Party of Ukraine with 11%.

According to data, "People’s Union 'Our Ukraine'" (NSNU) took the forth place and would have got only 7.6% of votes.

General Director of the service, Nickolay Mikhalchenko, reported that NSNU’s rating made 20% in May and started to fall down after Roman Bezsmertny had been elected to be the party leader. Mikhalchenko considers that "Bezsmertny killed the party by his initiatives about administrative and territorial reform." The sociologist pointed out that the party has a "leader problem," and if it is not solved, the rating fall will continue.

As for the other parties, the rating is the following:

Communistic Party of Ukraine – 7.2% Progressive Socialistic Party of Ukraine – 5.5% Our Ukraine (Victor Pinsenik) – 5.4% People’s Party (Vladimir Litvin) – 4.5% Green Party – 2.7% Narodny Ruh (People’s Motion) – 2.4% "Liberal Ukraine", "Women for future", "Labour Ukraine" gained less than 2%.

Mikhalchenko said that SDPU (u) was not included into the list, as it is unknown whether the Party will take part in elections independently or in bloc.

This has to be the first poll that is out there which shows party Regions to be in the lead.

For example Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KMIC) for their poll on 14-23 June, had it broken down like so: "Our Ukraine"- 26.7%, "Regions"- 13.4%, "Bloc of Y. Tymoshenko"- 10.6%, Communists- 6.4% Socialists- 3.8% Link

Poll by the "Democratic Initiatives" on 14-25 June had it at: Party "Our Ukraine"- 16.2%, "People's Union 'Our Ukraine'-12.8%, "Regions"- 12.8%, Communists- 7.3%, "Motherland" (Tymoshenko)- 5.9%, Socialists- 4.7%. Link

Don't waste your breath, EVERYTHING jb6 posts regarding the Ukraine, Youschenko, the Orange Revolution and the new government is Democracy/Ukrainian-NEGATIVE and ALWAYS pro-Russia, it is like jb6 is a soviet-forum plant or something on FR. Either that or he has no love for democracy for the Ukraine. Don't take my word for it, just check out his previous posts regarding the Ukraine; they speak for themselves, they are N E G A T I V E. He is not alone, there is another FR poster who goes by the name of GarySpFc, he is also consistently opposed to reform in the Ukraine and always posting negative comments about the Ukraine and voicing positive remarks regarding mother Russia.

If these guys had their way, the Ukraine would still be a soviet satellite state or under the puppet control of Kuchma or Yanakovich with Putin pulling the strings.

Are things perfect in the Ukraine? No, but no one in their right minds expects decades of corruption, blackmail and bribery to be overturned in 7 months. And in spite of all the difficulties, thing are much better now than they were when the Ukraine was under soviet domination or under the control of the corrupt Kuchma government. I know because I was there. My latest trip was in February 05 and I will be returning for 4 months in 06 in order to teach at a Christian University in the Ukraine.

I am imminently qualified to comment on the subject having lived and worked throughout the Ukraine and Russia (Kiev, Moscow, Odessa, Yalta, Sevastopol, Chernivtsi, Ternopil, St. Petersburg) since 1994. I was also in Chernivtsi and Kiev throughout the entire Orange Revolution, except for the final dismantling of tent city on Krischatic street after it was over and I have also lived in the Crimea after it ended and I can say from first-hand experience that the overwhelming majority of Ukrainians supported and democratically elected Youschenko as their president.

Hay, try arguing the point but no, its easier for your type to attack the poster. Here's a challenge, post pro-Yushchenko stuff, especially economic, if you can find it. As for love for democracy, a lot of those articles are showing the socialists in power, so I'd say I have plenty of love for democracy and you're the one making excuses for filthy socialists.

I stand by my post and all that I said; EVERYTHING you post about the Ukraine is consistently NEGATIVE. You do not appear to support democracy for the Ukraine; neither do you want the country to succeed apart from the domination or control of "mother Russia" via surrogate puppet regimes.

YOur own words and posts betray you. All members of FR have to do is pull up your previous posts and articles on the Ukraine and read your anti-Ukrainian, anti-democracy statements for themselves and they will clearly see that this is the case.

Over and over you continue to SPAM the same posts on Free Republic attacking JB6 and myself. One only has to do a search by poster to see the same post repeated by you. Free Republic guidelines clearly state, "Don't spam."

I looked at your profile a couple of days ago, and was surprised to see you claim to be a Christian with the following credentials:

" By way of background I possess an earned Ph.D. in Biblical Studies, a M.A. in the New Testament and a B.A. in Bible. All of these degrees are from theologically conservative, evangelical schools. I have been in the ministry since 1980.

I would advise others to examine your profile carefully. I have an earned academic doctorate in theology from a conservative seminary, and found several questionable items in your profile and experiences. Without comment, I asked friends with doctorates in theology from Duke and Vanderbilt to examine your profile. They both cast strong doubt on the validity of your credentials and teaching experiences. I then emailed you privately offering you an opportunity to respond and received no reply. JB6 in a post then asked for the names of the schools where you taught. Once again, you did not respond.

I will let Freepers draw their own conclusions as to the veracity of anything you post.
