Agree! No one is rooting for a Bush rebound more than myself. Other war presidents have had very difficult times: Lincoln: defeat after defeat, lots of dissent, Coperheads, hostile media. Roosevelt: defeat after defeat, initial disaster in North Africa.

Smart people should have gotten together years ago to strategize on fighting a war with a hostile international media. I just don't think the Administration recognized the level of hostility.

Their approach is overly passive to me. I think they are afraid of the media.

I think Laverne asks a fair question. No need to be coy.

The origin of the name "Whiff of Grape" goes back to the French Revolution when Napoléon ordered his troops to fire over the heads of peasants storming the gates of Paris, yelling "give them a whiff of grape"!

In WWII they had posters and public campaigns along the lines of CARELESS TALK COSTS LIVES, the government should go back and update some of those messages on billboards, TV spots and Internet banners. My suggestion: WHEN YOU STAND AGAINST THE ARMY YOU STAND WITH BIN LADEN. The left have their inane slogans posted everywhere, but we're fighting the home front with one, if not both, hands tied behind our back.

If I recall correctly, it wasn't very far over the heads--and more than a few peasants wound up losing theirs.

But I also think chain shot on a mob on unwashed hippie scum would be pretty cool, especially to repay the bag of s*** I got thrown at me when I came home from Vietnam. (c8

"The blood they smell is President Bush's bleeding Achilles Heel. While he speaks with strength about the WOT, he is not attending to the gushing wound that is illegal immigration."

Well put, arasina...

There's an obvious disconnect even the President's most ardent supporters don't understand.

Since Mr. Mitchell has so unambiguously shown the media's strategy we on the right should take heed.

Either fight or watch this nation die.

Construction should begin immediately on the gallows to accomodate traitors of the "disloyal opposition".
