It is truly sad how Cindy Sheehan has dishonored her son in so many ways. She has called the men who killed him, "freedom fighters." She has even tried to hint that he died from "friendly fire."
And perhaps worst of all, Cindy appears to have blatantly misrepresented Casey's thinking about his service and the Iraq war. Casey's father, Patrick, is now on record of saying that his son was proud of his service in the Army.
And there is this is story, from the San Francisco CBS affiliate--dated April 6, 2004. The same date as Casey's death.
Bay Area Soldier Dies in Iraq
Jeffrey Schaub
One of the most recent U.S. casualties in the war in Iraq was a 24-year-old Bay Area man.
Army Specialist Casey Sheehan of Vacaville died over the weekend when the vehicle he was riding in was attacked in Baghdad. He had been in the country less than two weeks.
"He just wanted to go over to fight for his country, and serve his country," said Sheehan's mother Cindy Sheehan.
In fact, Casey Sheehan served in the Army twice, first in the late 1990s. This past August, he re-enlisted. Sheehan's father said when the chaplains arrived at his door Sunday night, he just couldn't believe it.
"I told them, 'My son has only been gone in Iraq for two weeks. This has to be a mistake,'" Patrick Sheehan said. "They just said, 'Please, Mr. Sheehan, let us in. We have to come in and talk to you.'"
Casey Sheehan graduated from Vacaville High School with honors. He was an Eagle Scout, and his family said he loved the Catholic Church from an early age.
"He died on Palm Sunday, and it's very fitting because he was so faithful. He went to Mass every Sunday," Cindy Sheehan said. "The last time I talked to him he called me from Kuwait and he was on his way to church."
Sister Carly Sheehan said, "I was thinking about my brother today, and I have never, never heard him utter one bad word about anybody. He loved everybody he came in contact with and cared about everybody. He would stay up at night worrying about the world. From the time he was little, my mom would find him awake at night. He couldn't sleep because he was too worried about the world. He just wanted to take care of the world, and he gave his life for it." » 04-06-2004
This story contains a link to a video which is no longer accessible. Presumably it features the Sheehan family's reactions. It probably contains Cindy's remarks that I've highlighted below. The station probably still has a copy.
I wonder why we haven't seen it.

The video link does work--if you use IE6.
*GAG*!
She's a pathetic disgrace.

It's always been about her, not her Hero Son. She hated him for enlisting. She is a long-time, confirmed leftist and America-hater. Too damn bad the MSM won't tell the whole story.
Species = K9 / Sex = Female
K9's serve with honor. She is a pig.
Please tell me that is not true.
No doubt her boy is in Heaven as I post.
I have to believe she was trying to use Pat Tillman's service to her political advantage, if she truly tried to hint that her son died of friendly fire.
She's pyschopathic whether she did this or not.
"The official story of his death was that Casey was killed in an ambush in Sadr City by hostile fire. I have some speculative evidence that he was actually killed by friendly fire. The military lied to us and has told us conflicting stories."

Some Facts About Cindy Sheehan's Son, Casey

That's disgusting.
I'm also afraid her son was awake at night as a boy wondering what he could do to save the world from his mom.
I haven't heard that one but it wouldn't surprise me in the least.
BTW, did you know that Medea Benjamin aka Susan "Susie" Benjamin of CODE PINK fame was married with two daughters?!

Sheehan for Democratic presidential nominee in 2008!
She's a moral and intellectual giant among Democrats.
Somebody like Paul Krugman could be her vice-presidential running mate.
Beauty and brains -- how can they miss?
Being away from her husband's daughters (as that bio characterizes them) is best.
