It is truly sad how Cindy Sheehan has dishonored her son in so many ways. She has called the men who killed him, "freedom fighters." She has even tried to hint that he died from "friendly fire."
And perhaps worst of all, Cindy appears to have blatantly misrepresented Casey's thinking about his service and the Iraq war. Casey's father, Patrick, is now on record of saying that his son was proud of his service in the Army.
And there is this is story, from the San Francisco CBS affiliate--dated April 6, 2004. The same date as Casey's death.
Bay Area Soldier Dies in Iraq
Jeffrey Schaub
One of the most recent U.S. casualties in the war in Iraq was a 24-year-old Bay Area man.
Army Specialist Casey Sheehan of Vacaville died over the weekend when the vehicle he was riding in was attacked in Baghdad. He had been in the country less than two weeks.
"He just wanted to go over to fight for his country, and serve his country," said Sheehan's mother Cindy Sheehan.
In fact, Casey Sheehan served in the Army twice, first in the late 1990s. This past August, he re-enlisted. Sheehan's father said when the chaplains arrived at his door Sunday night, he just couldn't believe it.
"I told them, 'My son has only been gone in Iraq for two weeks. This has to be a mistake,'" Patrick Sheehan said. "They just said, 'Please, Mr. Sheehan, let us in. We have to come in and talk to you.'"
Casey Sheehan graduated from Vacaville High School with honors. He was an Eagle Scout, and his family said he loved the Catholic Church from an early age.
"He died on Palm Sunday, and it's very fitting because he was so faithful. He went to Mass every Sunday," Cindy Sheehan said. "The last time I talked to him he called me from Kuwait and he was on his way to church."
Sister Carly Sheehan said, "I was thinking about my brother today, and I have never, never heard him utter one bad word about anybody. He loved everybody he came in contact with and cared about everybody. He would stay up at night worrying about the world. From the time he was little, my mom would find him awake at night. He couldn't sleep because he was too worried about the world. He just wanted to take care of the world, and he gave his life for it." » 04-06-2004
This story contains a link to a video which is no longer accessible. Presumably it features the Sheehan family's reactions. It probably contains Cindy's remarks that I've highlighted below. The station probably still has a copy.
I wonder why we haven't seen it.

The video link does work--if you use IE6.
"Beauty and brains -- how can they miss?"
Alan Colmes, Paul Begala, Helen Thomas, Adam Clymer, Richard Cohen, -- cabinet. The Dems seem to have a monopoly on these people.
Medea also drags her daughters with her. They don't have a chance with two freaks as "parents".
More Sheehanigans!
She has lost it - she actually believes what she is saying, I'd wager.
I cannot read about this witch tonight; I'm sitting here waiting for a new grandbaby any second and I am NOT going to let this fool ruin it!
So, how's yer grandbaby?!!!
On her way! Any second now!
And just think Brian Williams said the terrorists were not all that different then George Washington.
Bush supporters and war protestors plan debate: http://www.kxxv.com/main.cfm?ID=1&NewsID=2173&Type=Full
"Sheehan agreed to the debate under one condition, she does not want the media to attend and she has not given a reason as to why yet."
You left out Chucky Schumer, The Swimmer, Stainman, Janet Reno, Babs, Jesse and Al. And the Beast. Of course Joan Baez will sing the national anthemn with no mention to America. (rolling eyes, shaking head in disgust to the above scenario)
How do those people contort their faces in such hideous expressions?
Is there an academy somewhere?
Smart move and Congratultions!!
Oh and do take note how she slams the Clinton's and blames them for killing Iraqi Babies

False Freedom isn't Free
By Cindy Sheehan - Thursday 25 August 2005
Cindy Sheehan's either not yet having figured out (or not caring) that when both Michael Moore AND David Duke agree with you, it's YOU that's the problem, is just too much for words!
I do hope she like the camp's caterer though.
And remember Cindy, if you'd also like to redecorate the place, GLAAD is just a phone call away.
PING!
May God comfort you in your great loss..My humble gratitude for your son's service to our country.
God bless you young lady. I read your post and words fail me. Thank you for your sacrifice.
The only way that wacko is going to go away is if everybody just totally tunes her out completely. This the first and only retort from me and it is assuredly the last. "No more! Just go away, LOSER!"
