With the President back at his Crawford ranch, the anti-war protest right outside his ranch is getting a lot more media attention. ABC7 looks at who is financing the operation and who's providing on-the-ground support.
The camp at Crawford is full of Cindy Sheehan supporters, people from all walks of life. But off to the side are a small group of professionals, skilled in politics and public relations who are marketing her message.
Cindy Sheehan kneels before a cross with her son's name on it, touches his picture, wipes her tears. It's an outpouring of emotion that is part of a scheduled news event organized daily for the television radio and print reporters who crowd in to capture a mother's grief.

Lol.
I serf enemy territory on the web all the time, and I can tell you those losers are working day and night spamming polls for Cindy. Most polls I've seen are overwhelmingly "Go home Cindy", but the left just keeps thinking if they change the numbers, everyone in America will morph into a Cindy supporter.
Dumbassess. It ain't gonna happen.
ABC is covering their backside in case Al Qaeda hits us again on 9/11.
Meanwhile, there is the group that reversed the Sheehan equation and showed up in her home town of Vacaville, California, with a caravan of military families and conservative activists who proclaimed, You dont speak for me, Cindy.
Several partisan Web sites reported that the anti-antiwar group Move America Forward was not quite as grassrootsy a response to Sheehan as it first seemed, that it had, in fact, been launched by a Sacramento public relations firm with strong connections to the Republican Party.
Those Web sites are right. While the online evidence has been scrubbed that the PR firm Russo, Marsh, and Rogers actually put up the Move America Forward Web site, Move America Forward still lists as its chief strategist and one of its board members Sal Russo of the PR firm Russo, Marsh, and Rogers.
And the Move America Forward fax number in that area code is 441-6057, while the Russo, Marsh, and Rogers fax number in that area code is 441-6057.
Funny, I don't remember eyebrows giving out the phone #'s to moveon.org, Soros and the other 'rats when he fawned all over the events of Camp Casey.
Fortunately for us, those ''professionals'' are NOT skilled at politics.... this thing is probably hurting the left twice as much as it is the right.
And as far as marketing.... it is easy to market hate and ignorance to those already hate filled and ignorant. I don't see them convincing anyone with even an iota of rationality or common sense.
Shocking is all I can say. If it was San Antonio or OKC, I wouldn't think twice.
They're just preaching to themselves. It's like food.
I said when this all started that we just needed to "follow the money".
ABC wants to go after the pro-war people who are coming - so after weeks and weeks of nonstop free positive press, they have to make a token effort so they can trash the people who will stand up to Cindy. The MSM is never fair - but they do have to fake it now and then to keep from being too obvious...
In San Francisco yet. There has to be a mistake.
Actually, that did happen. Yesterday, on another thread here at FR there was a photo of her and that pseudo-Marine grinning like Cheshire cats, and apparently dancing or just ''goofing'... obviously taken moments before or just after the one accompanying this article.
"Cindy Sheehan kneels before a cross with her son's name on it, touches his picture, wipes her tears. It's an outpouring of emotion that is part of a scheduled news event organized daily for the television radio and print reporters who crowd in to capture a mother's grief."
You did a good thing. :)
Ping!
Some of the affiliates are pretty independent and shows how the MSM networks are losing their clout which suits me just fine.
Cindy Sheehan's photo ops of her kneeling in front of her son's pseudo-marker are as phony and staged as John Effin Kerry's photo ops with firearms during last year's presidential election campaign.
Since Cindy's such a drama queen, maybe ABC or one of the other dinosaur networks can pick up her story and base a soap opera on it.
Grief and suffering on demand for the camera!?!?!
