Our only Catholic high school in town is Jesuit. Despite the fact that our kids will go to the parish school through 8th grade, they will either go to public school or a non-Catholic private school. I feel bad for my daughter, because many of her friends (from preschool on) will be going there.
I share your concern for your daughter's seeing her friends go elsewhere, but, as far as I'm concerned, at this point Catholic schools are nothing more than private schools with a cucifix out front. You get a lot of cheap talk about their great devotion to the faith and Christian principles. It means nothing.
