Just heard on LA County Fire frequency that 1 hour blackouts have been instituted....not sure whats up
I was never too happy about San Onofre so close to the freeway.
Was always pretty funny driving by that place at night though.. lol
Okay.
What ever.
You seem to have this fixation with mhking....would you like to talk about it?
LVM
... right back to the personal attacks...
You're too easy.
I stole that line from Emo Phillips, a not very-well-known comedian.
(Duh!)
How was Texas?
Details on that:
Major Power Line Outage Forces
Southern California Transmission Emergency
click above here, it's a PDF document,....the ole PC Intertie line....again....happened just before 4 pm today!!!! corresponds to the spike in that chart somewhere back up the thread...
It just annoys me no end that everyone has to be offended all the time. I wouldn't be offended if someone told a joke about a middle aged white woman.
Did you leave the iron plugged in at your house in Lake Arrowhead? So that you know, I am running my air full bore here in Houston and wondering how much we will be bilking So Cal this time (relax for those reading this, I am not in the Electricity business, I work in another evil industy, Oil and Gas).
The Pacific DC Intertie, (PDCI) a 500-thousand volt transmission line that runs between Southern Oregon and Southern California suddenly and unexpectedly dropped out of service just before 4:00 P.M. today. The loss of more than 2,800 megawatts of power coming into Southern California, coupled with the areas high demand required a reduction in system load to keep the grid in balance. Loads in southern California were running about 2,000 megawatts higher than anticipated due to temperatures that were up to 14 degrees higher than forecast.
No details are available yet about what caused the PDCI to trip off line.
Texas is great.
Big LOL
Sitting here, resting in the arms of ERCOT
Think you are as well.
Also worked for a a oil and GAS industry.
25 years for El Paso Natural Gas.
Now retired and laughing my ass off....
How are you getting the text traffic between the CHP units?
I miss that part of living in Torrance. I've lived in Torrance off and on for about 20+ years since 1976. It has perhaps the best weather in the entire USA. Any further north and you get the tips of storms as they sweep off the ocean, and any further south and it's hotter.
You don't even have to listen to the weather report because it's the same 9 days out of 10. Late night and early morning low clouds, burning off around mid-day. Temps at the beach in the mid to low 70's, 80's inland. MMmmmmmMMmmmmm! No wonder you guys are so crowded!
On really hot days I'd take my motorcycle for rides around Palos Verdes to cool off. Those were good times!
You're going to jail....Sheila Jackson Watzername said so.

If your an Armadillo. I personally can't see how people deal with the stifling heat and uninhabitable humidity there.
Send some of that cool weather this way.
