Washington (CNSNews.com) - The Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C., the current home of hundreds of wounded veterans from the war in Iraq, has been the target of weekly anti-war demonstrations since March. The protesters hold signs that read "Maimed for Lies" and "Enlist here and die for Halliburton."
The anti-war demonstrators, who obtain their protest permits from the Washington, D.C., police department, position themselves directly in front of the main entrance to the Army Medical Center, which is located in northwest D.C., about five miles from the White House.
Among the props used by the protesters are mock caskets, lined up on the sidewalk to represent the death toll in Iraq.
Code Pink Women for Peace, one of the groups backing anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan's vigil outside President Bush's ranch in Crawford Texas, organizes the protests at Walter Reed as well.

The funniest part and I read this on tons of Blogs this morning is that the DU was blaming this on Rove and on Freepers dressing up as Code Pink People! I almost died laughing. The pictures are on the Code Pink Website if they care to look at them. LOL

I suppose in the liberal world, calling wounded veterans suckers IS supporting the troops.
I suspect that the reason Code Pink does this is to be so obnoxious that they can grab the media's attention. They are so desperate for camera time that they will sink to any depth to get it. And they have nothing new to tell the American public that they haven't been saying for the last two years now.
How despicable. Clearly these liberal traitors despise our military, since they've chosen to display their anti-American propaganda where the wounded soldiers can't avoid seeing it.

That's a good question. I don't know if they can legally deny them the right to peacefully protest in that area, but they certainly can limit how and where. In Idaho a few years back the Aryan Nations people wanted to march through the middle of downtown in a large city. The city couldn't deny them a permit, but they told them they could only march out by the city dump. That's where these Code Pink people belong, too.
