While news cameras were filming the event, Marine Jeff Key physically grabbed a cameraman from San Francisco local affiliate KGO. Key objected to the cameramans shooting position, which was on the same site where the protesters have erected crosses listing the names of fallen soldiers in Iraq. Here's a photo from right before the altercation took place:
I asked Mark Matthews of KGO about the alleged assault, Im not happy about it. Were happy to abide by the rules when we know what the rules are. But there was no message communicated to us to stay out of the crosses. And last night, photographers, supporters of Cindy Sheehan, people praying, clapping and singing were here amongst the crosses. 13 hours later, its off limits without any notification to us.
I asked one of Sheehans spokeswoman if she condoned Keys assault of the cameraman. She would not answer my question directly, instead saying, I think if we all do our fair share, well work to keep everybody out of the way Thats all we need is to have people stay out of the crosses I think thats all being worked out privately. I think the cameraman and the Iraq veteran was doing his best to honor the fallen will work it out.
Here's a pic of the spokeswoman who refused to answser my question:
Looks like two guys in that picture, or perhaps the guy on the left reminds me of the wicked witch of the west.
FORMER USMC who outed himself on CNN!
That is such a contrived picture. Joseph Goebbels would be proud of Cindy Sheehan and her DC area PR firm.
Shades of Bubba on the beach at Normandy with his stone cross.
And the press sucks up the PR stunt. I've been reading the NRO buzz blog every day. He's got some really good stuff there. He's been down there for a while. I didn't post anything from him because no one knew what paper he was writing for. I saw his blog outted on CNN yesterday so I figured it's ok to post his stuff now. If you get a chance go to his blog on NRO and read the things he's been posting.
UGH, just great. Please tell me she doesn't live in NY, we already have enough kooks like Carolyn Mahoney et al in office.
Absolutely....makes you also wonder about how much she is grieving, doesn't it? I can sympathize for her loss, but I feel nothing but contempt for what she is doing now. Her son's memory deserves more respect than the total disregard for his beliefs that she and the other left-wing activists are showing.
Michelle Mulkey, an account director at Fentons San Francisco office, and a spokewoman for Cindy Sheehan.
That chic from Code Pink is on Hannity's radio show
I can't stand that witch .. there is a special place in hell for her
OH MY GOD!! PLEASE!!!
I had to stop reading after the first paragraph.
Disgusting.
That's the only kind of male who will put an arm around her.
Two losers united in a losing cause.
Sheman
When crosses are used as photo op props in the manner Cindy Sheehan is using them at Camp Fruitbag, they are not real.
Crosses on the sides of highways usually mark the point where someone did in fact die. So they are more than symbolic and in fact are a spritual markers for those who placed them there.
For Cindy, it's about getting the photo op.
Thos clown describes himself as being on duty and taking time out to play hide the camel with some Iraqi homosexual. He should be in the brig.
I'm soooooooo far away from Texas..LOL..I'm in Pa.
