got a box of tacks handy?
Louisiana Activist Network
In Louisiana and across the southeastern United States, there are dozens if not hundreds of small groups working for progressive causes. These groups are powerful voices for change and watchdogs for the community, protecting values such as civil rights, racial justice, gender equality, and taking up the cause of the poor and disenfranchised. Individually, these organizations speak truth to power and are a catalyst for change on a variety of issues. Taken together, they are the lifeblood of the progressive movement in this country.
The idea behind the Louisiana Activist Network is to leave these potent groups in place, while adding a thin layer of coordination when larger actions are called for. Our vision is of a large community of organizations, with the capability to carry out a large-scale action such as the Jazz Funeral or New Democracy Rising in coordination.
We have begun L.A.N. with the member organizations of the January 20th Coalition and C3. We are excited to welcome other progressive groups to join with us for the New Democracy Rising march and future common causes. For more information, please e-mail info@newdemocracyrising.com

DUDE!
"got a box of tacks handy?"
LOL! Oh yeah! I'm curious what would happen if their bus had mechanical difficulties at, say, Vicksburg, MS or Monroe, LA. I would like to see them have to roll into a repair shop in this area. It would make my decade. :)
"DUDE"
Yeah. One of my favorite all time episodes.
Yep .. this stunt in Crawford was nothing but a PR stunt to get attention and raise money
And they used Casey to do it
Gosh, they didn't want the Texas Rangers involved? The Sheriff seems a good man but he might want some back-up this weekend. The other Ditch Dwellers of America will be making their pilgrimage to their Saint Sindy - that will bring an influx of drug dealers into the area.
Rush reported the other day that according to Sheehan's website, she is receiving $25,000 in donations per day. That pays for a lot of buses and a lot of ads. Lotsa liberals....
Wow. Who is funding this? This knuckle-head has a huge expensive tent, chairs, tables, lobster.
I was wondering that earlier.
Haven't heard anything more about the Crisco Queen Express.
So much for hubby, kids, and mom lying in the hospital. Cindy's moving on up to bigger and better things and a whole new circle of fellow travelers. So long, Vacaville, she's headed for the big time!
Money down a 'Rat hole.
i saw some of them kneeling at the feet of mother sheehan the other day, as she sat ex cathedra, sweating in a lawn chair in the ditch, her manly face filled with an ethereal emotion and her manly hands touching her subject as if to transmit her aura of holiness.
i've had dreams myself of dramatically fainting, falling to the ground unconscious. usually it involved some sort of escape from reality. no surprise that she can't seem to give up her queenly estate.
hard to believe that the reporters who stalked so contemptuously the hordes at the bush rally i attended are encouraging this horsesh*t.
it's embarrassing.
Somebody needs to bring her a crown, robe, and scepter to complete the picture.
We need to protest the Commie protesters and never let their lies go unanswered.
We should all encourage her to bring her march to Iraq.
