Lots of Brazilians in South Florida too, although most are middle to upper class.
There are alot of poor and working class Brazilians in New Jersey. The reason Brazilians are moving to Mass, NJ, and Rhode Island is because all those states have well established Portuguese speaking communities, particularly from the Azores.

My father's second wife was Brazilian. Fastest way to get her completely irate was to suggest she was Mexican.
