Which leads to the age-old question: When God acts, does he do what he does because it is right, or is it right because he does it?

I didn't see that anyone had answered it.

I think the correct answer to both sides of this question is "yes".

Yes, God acts because it is right,
(all that issues from God is holy)

AND

Yes, it is right because God does it.
(God himself is holy)

No, the point is that the Communist USSR did most of the fighting and dying in WW2, not the US or UK....the numbers are not even close, civilian or military.

Just because you do most of the dying doesn't mean you do most of the fighting.

And your friend hears God talking to him? And then he writes the POTUS to let him know what God wants? I think that you and I are operating in different realities. Good luck.

Go has spoken through prophets since just after Adam. Why would he stop now? My reality is that God is the same today as he was 5000 years ago, if I couldn't believe that I wouldn't bother believing any of Christianity or any other "religion" for that matter.

Look at it this way.

There is a meaningful difference for us to say that we have the power to do something and that we have the right to do something. They are two different things and one does not imply the other.

For God, there is no difference with these statements. All he has is the power to do something.

Russian military KIA in WW2 - 8-10 million

US military KIA in WW2 - 400,000

UK military KIA in WW2 - 280,000

German KIA in WW2 - 4 million (with the majority of these killed in fighting with the Russians.

But, you suggest that the US played a stronger role in fighting and destroying Germany because why?
