Israel hit by fire from Lebanon - witnesses

KIRYAT SHMONA, Israel, Aug 25 (Reuters) - A mortar or rocket fired from Lebanon slammed into a northern Israeli community on Thursday, witnesses said. The Israeli army had no immediate comment.

I'm betting that when Israel strikes back, it will be with increasing force and serve to make it more costly than ever to keep attacking them. The moral authority for doing so will be stronger than ever and "cause" of the terrorists suffers an evaporating "reasoning" - kind of hard to expect further honest attempts at dealing with a scorpion that will sting you no matter how hard you try.

I would have thought the time had long passed when Israel had this moral authority, but this latest deal firms up the foundation like never before. Time to show them that earlier retributions were actually conducted with restraint.

No Response to Kassam Rocket Attack

(IsraelNN.com) Sderot Mayor Eli Moi’al questioned why the IDF did not respond to Thursday’s Kassam rocket attack, stating officials promised that following the disengagement, any rockets fired into the western Negev from Gaza would be met with a stern response.

Moi’al added he will not be responsible for the welfare of students in schools with rooftops that were not fortified to withstand rocket attacks, adding those schools simply will not open.

There were no injuries in the attack earlier today when two rockets were fired into the western Negev, landing in open areas.

I think every one will find that Israel will treat the Palestine the same way it has treated other states that Lob shells across its boarder. I believe there will be concentrated Artillery fire and Air strikes against those communities that are supporting the actions.

Moral authority test will never happen. The U.N. is adamantly against Israel and for the arabs and palestinians.
Jews made one mistake in history, they landed in about the only place not floating on oil in the middle east.
If they had landed in say Kuwaitt then the U.N. would kiss Israelis asses like the do the arabs.

The pull out from Lebanon was so clever, because now it is just a conventional military situation, and the government of Lebanon has to restrain Hezbollah, lest it lose its power to an Israeli invasion. Oops, no, that is nonsense from start to finish, isn't it? Yet it is entirely parallel to the fantasies being peddled by those defending Sharon's Gaza pullout.

Saudis paid the Brits to ask us to. There are about $500 billion calling for Israeli defeat. Plus the hands on the spigot as oil hits $68. That's a lot of "votes".
