I wish McClintock would initiate a lawsuit against the feds to get some of the NINE BILLION DOLLARS a year the federal government owes the state of CA for allowing the illegals to stay here!!!
and RINOld needs to call out the CA National Guard and place them on the border for pete sakes!!!

Hmm, what do you know. As an occasional critic, I can't fault Tom this time 'round. I agree with his picks.
If you haven't yet, order your California Border Patrol petition online.
I heard Arnold on 'The Roger Hedgecock Show' this afternoon. He brought up the parental notification prop himself and said paycheck protection was a good idea.
He's focused on pushing his 3 reforms for now but as it gets closer to election time he said he'll endorse other props.

Tom is making my next trip to the polls a no-brainer. Thanks Tom Arnold, I mean Tom and Arnold.

NO. This measure locks in monopoly control of your electricity by the bureaucratized utilities and forbids you from ever being able to shop around for the lowest-priced electricity available. Sorry Tom, but the last time I was promised a choice, I couldn't even by electricity at 18 cents a kw, while the City owned LA Light and power had a surplus to sell at 5 cents a kw.

I agree enough with his picks to vote em at this point. I'm still waitin to vote on the ones that REALLY stop the borrowing/squandering AND that blows up the "non-elected boxes!" (unelected fatcat positions by appointment)
I would have been nicer and more supportive of his credibility had he gone ahead and done it, letting the sniveling bastards sue and let the state's attorney's grind the litigants down for all of us, like HE SAID HE WOULD!!!

I agree w/Tom on all his recos. Prop 75 is the key initiative the way I see it. If it passes, the Democrats will be stripped of their funding mechanism for years to come, unless of course they sue and some unelected judge voids it. Whenever we pass cool initiatives i.e. Prop 187 they always seem to find the right judge to overrule the voters.

Sorry Tom, but the last time I was promised a choice, I couldn't even by electricity at 18 cents a kw, while the City owned LA Light and power had a surplus to sell at 5 cents a kw. So that makes utility monopolies a GOOD idea?
As for the last time, if you are implying that we ever actually HAD deregulation in this state then you are dreaming. The power fiasco was caused by a bastardized set of new rules CALLED deregulation, which it was NOT.

We are just going to have to disagree on this issue, I don't trust Enron types with something as necessary as Electricity, or highways either. I realize the Utility commission was corrupt to the bone, but they needed fixed.
I lived with Public Utilities since the 30's and never once ran short, except due to storms and the like.

I don't trust Enron types with something as necessary as Electricity, or highways either. I'll tell you what's even more necessary than electricity and highways -- food and clothing! I don't trust those corporate Enron types with those! We need to create one big huge farm monopoly and have them submit five-year plans. Same with the department stores. We need one big chain -- lets call it Gum. They can bring in the very best products at the fairest prices. If they come up short on inventory people can just line up.

I was thinking today about how the FR anti-McClintock contingent has almost completely disappeared from the forum. I was reading an old recall thread and it seems as if all but 2 or 3 of the Tom haters have opused or vanished since the recall.

Good information. Thanks.
I always look at McClintock's views before voting.
