I wonder why so many married couples have men with porn issues. Is it because of past premarital sex? Or the woman who doesn't want to have any when she's older because of menopause? Or the young, nubile images as compared to a wife who has had a few kids and over forty?

Gross is great.

He speaks at my college every year about just how serious porn is. You would not believe how many Christians, even at conservative schools like mine, view it and sometimes use it for sexual purposes.

It is a big problem. I have no doubt that in the pews, it is just as bad.

The reason it's a problem is because many Christians are taught that they are free to violate God's laws, the 10 commandments. Porn falls under the heading of adultery. If we truly let Christ live in and through us he will not violate his fathers commandment. If we go along for the ride and let Christ work in us, neither will we.

I've actually seen that Scion tooling around Laguna Beach and wondered what was up with that, whether it was actually a really twisted porn site. Hey, whatever works. Anybody who can work a reference to the oralse.cx "Please think about the kittens" parody PSA into an anti-porn ministry is my kind of guy.

I may be going out on a limb here, but is it possible some people don't get *enough* sexual stimulation?

Absolutely correct about pornography, its a terrible danger.

We simply have to break the silence and talk about intimacy, sexuality, and the meaning of things from a Christian perspective. There are a lot of harried, tired, and stressed out people in our pews and many of them will reach for the quick "fix" of pornography to help fill the
hunger for true intimacy.

One of the interesting things about this time is that while the Church seems to be under assault on so many fronts the net result may be our own purification. God is letting the fire come to us so that we will be made holier and more like the Bride he wants us to be. One by one we are facing issues in our life together and they are getting exposed so that they can be healed. Pornography is no different and the faster we open this area up, let the fresh air in, and begin the healing, the better.

The Clinton/AlGore "legacy" continues: "oral sex isn't really sex" and Internet porn. More from me on this later. Internet porn is a cancer. But it's symptomatic of a deeper problem. Developing ...
