Written by Scott Ott of Scrappleface, but the Pres should use it! Very eloquent!

Huh. And all this time I thought her son died because the CIA screwed up and convinced us all that Iraq had WMDs.

A well-crafted letter.
Occasionally, parents lose their sons or daughters prematurely and tragically. A high proportion of the 40,000 lives lost each year on our highways alone are the nation's young. Others are lost in sports accidents. Whatever the circumstances, the grief and suffering of parents is immense. But parents who have lost loved ones in war can take some comfort in knowing their loved ones were serving their country in a noble cause. There is no higher honor. God bless them and God bless America. They have our eternal gratitude.

The first serious thing I have read from Scrappleface. It was well written and it shows that below the surface of the comedy Scrappleface provides us, they know what is really going on.
Kudos to Scrappleface.

Damn! I just read that whole letter to my officemate before I realized it was Scrappleface! (She loved it, by the way, and thought it should have come from the president.)

Too Bad the Bush adminstration seems to have no one on staff capable of writing such a statement nor anyone man enough or eloquent enough to deliver it.

In case you haven't seen this, the normally-great Scott Ott (Scrappleface) is simply stratospheric here.
