If you have not listened to Tony Snow - put him on the postive side. He even freeps while his show is on.

Rush also taught me how to easily identify seminar callers. They always begin with the phrase "I am a Republican but...." or "I voted for Bush but...."
I didn't read your post because it began
"I am a staunch conservative converted to the right by Rush Limbaugh"
Sure you are.

Rush gives it to us at the intellectual level.
Michael Savage gives it to us at the raw emotional level.
The rest are just in between.

....and we really care what you think because....
Quite frankly, I enjoy all facets of Rush and will continue to listen to him on a daily basis. You can always switch to Air America if that's more to your liking....

--snip--The most overrated talk show host has got to be Sean Hannity. His show consists of promoting his TV show (40%), and telling us what will be on in the next hour (25%). Once in a while he works in a caller, mostly women. Sean really likes women callers. His interviews with politicos are predictable. And the object of recently program content has been used to take advantage of tragedy TV ratings, i.e. the Natalee Holloway's epic. Talk radio ping.

What about Mark Levin? He's pretty good. I also listen to Kevin McCullough, local NY feel to it with christian spin.

I enjoy Tony Snow also. He and Rush are my picks. Rush is the most informed, IMO, and his analysis' are on the money most of the time. I have to respect a man, too, who carries a three hour program on his own with no guests. Rush is the man.

I just bought a iPod so I can catch ALL of RUSH...

In defense of the talkers, this is an "off" year politically speaking. Other than the terrorist bombing in London, there has been no major overseas news. Furthermore, it is summer. All the press coverage of the Natalee Holloway story, Lance Armstrong's Tour of France victory, and even Pat Robertson's latest rumblings can be explained by the lack of important news domestically or internationally.
The conservative talkers are working in the same atmosphere as the MSM, so if they go off on tangents like golf and cigars (or whatever), it is understandable.
To: PolishProud
Thank You For Sharing You can always listen to Stewart Smalley at AirAmerican for additional support.
To: OldFriend
Purity is non existent.
Not so. If there's a market for it, it will exist. There's tons of talk show hosts out there. As far as "purity" goes, Bill Bennett comes to mind.
Personally, I find it dull. But that's my preference...though I daresay that Rush reaches the unconvinced better than a purist will.

hmmmm a seminar caller line?
interesting number of vanities which bash conservatives lately.
Must be what the left is spending their think tank money on. (paying DUmies and people to surf FR and post vanities bashing conservatives.)

Sometime you really have to acknowledge, like it or not, that social security is here and it's not going away. If we have to give up the Constitution, then what the #3!! is left to fight for?

Saw an episode of Drew Carey last nite and Rush Limbaugh had a cameo appearance.
He was sensational! He was relaxed and his acting and timing were perfect.
To: PolishProud
He seems to relish "dirty talk." I can remember when, for one week, he talked about women "farting" in their cars. The word is "farding". It means applying makeup.

Sean Hannity is a great show. Him and Boortz have some great moments. Especially since they're more prone to have lefties on and tear them apart.
