If I remember correctly, there was some sort of powder in the room.

I'm wondering if the Fedex package that was sent there from Pakistan had the anthrax along with money.

And since the interview indicates that Atta barely made the flight, I'm wondering if some of the money in the Fedex package paid for the Comfort Inn to clean the room. Which would be why Atta's shirt was in the garbage.

"On September 4 three of the team sent Saiid a Federal Express package with at least £12,950 left over from their £70,000 advance. The FBI found a Federal Express return receipt in a dustbin at the Comfort Inn in Portland, Maine, where Mohammed Atta, the hijackers’ leader, stayed the night before the hijacking."

According to the London Times, the FBI found a Fed Ex receipt at the motel, not a package.

I can't find anything to back up my memory of a package arriving at the Comfort Inn. Sorry.

I have some memory of 3 men checking into the Comfort Inn and retrieving mail/messages at the desk in the lobby.

The third one was not identified but on the Lobby tape.

I thought this is when the package was picked up.

I thought this is when they got that handwritten notes on final instructions for their martyrdom operation.

I have no idea why any of that is in my head. I can't find a thing on the web now that backs any of that up.

I may read too much Tom Clancy.

So scratch my post 125.
