Medved, like Horowitz, was a sixties radical who, thank God, came to his senses. He bears a load of common sense and is a terrific debater.

Marines pinned down on the Beach at Iwo Jima! Pull out Now! America is not worth dying for! Surrender to the Japanese! I am sickened and disgusted by the liberals in this country and the the blatantly anti-American MSM. If only I was the richest man in the world -- I would immediately buy the New York Times and one or two of the networks and fire every single person and replace all the propagandists with real journalists assuming any still exist.

Bashing the war... it's the left's new "talking point". On Fox Allstars all this week, Mort Kondrake has stated "How badly the war is going", and the "Iraq war is highly unpopular", and "most American's want to pull out now". There's an old adage for those who study birds that says, "When the bird and book disagree, believe the bird."
I'd say that applies also between the talking pundits and the soldiers.
Believe the soldiers.
TRAITORS ALL!
Agreed whole heartedly.

Great picture.
Whenever leftists tells me they support the troops but not the war, I turn the tables on them right away and say, "In other words you support the troops, but don't care if they win or lose the battles."
They get all flustered....

In light of his proclamation Beckel seems to be off target, according to the figures Medved gives. You are so correct. Bechtel is always off target.

- Our opposition in Iraq is a contemptible force which has no leader who can show his face in public, and which cannot afford to concentrate its forces above the platoon level.
- Our opposition in Iraq has no open allies whose hostility we fear.
- Our military is all-volunteer and has very high morale.
- Our casualty rate is an unhappy reality, but one which we could if necessary sustain into the indefinite future.
- Our Quisling "Objective" Journalism faces opposition with propaganda power of its own.
- The party of cowardice has not controlled either house of Congress since 1994.
- The president's political supporters are solid.
- The Iraqi government we overthrew had earned the antipathy of most Iraqis.
- This fight was precipitated by an attack on US soil.
- It took ten years to wear down US determination in Vietnam. But we are standing up an effective new Iraqi army and a constitutional government. Our opposition does not have ten years. The clock is running on them.

Excellent article, thanks Jay.
Vietnam and Iraq are vastly different. The cultural revolution of the 60's - hippies, pacifists, antiwar protesters, media- had a great input during the Vietnam era. They undermined the war efforts, our institutions, beliefs, and values to the point that people lost confidence in the war, which was vital to the security and success of the troops and their efforts to achieve victory.
The Sheehans of today want as to believe that we're facing the same situation and America has lost confidence in the war, but this is not the case the reason why the work so hard undermining the war.

I really want the names of those "Law Makers" who signed onto the Case-Church amendment.

What these "socialists" also fail to realize that if we pull out now, it will prove to the terrorists that we don't have the stomach to see it through, and opens us up for even further attacks in the future.
I heard Bob Beckel scoff at the notion yesterday on Hannity's radio show that if we hadn't done anything concerning the terrorists threats in Afghanistan and Iraq, we would have probably been hit again and again.
I would have loved to follow up that condescending sneer by asking Beckel just what the hell we were doing prior to 9/11?! I damn sure think that Beckel would have sneered at that notion of our Country being attacked back then.

Beckel is an idiot - I can't stand him.
