How can they possibly know that for sure?

Are these the same folks that told us that starvation is euphoric?

In the next breath, the jokers who will defend this study will say that fish caught on hooks and chickens bound for KFC feel pain. PATHETIC!

A review of medical evidence has found that fetuses likely don't feel pain until the final months of pregnancy, a powerful challenge to abortion opponents who hope that discussions about fetal pain will make women think twice about ending pregnancies.

How does this justify the murder of an innocent life?

I heard this on ABC radio news on the hour. The spiel was something like "even though a fetus will react and try to pull away, the scientists said it did not have the capacity for pain until 30 weeks." Amazing (and sad) that it could be said with a straight face....

Seems like it should not be too hard to tell. Poke one and see if it reacts.

First: Decide what conclusions you (the liberal researcher) wants.

Then, arrange to "review" the studies that give you the results you want.

An amoeba will attempt to avoid stimulation from electrical charges.

I can't imagine what hell these people are laying up for themselves by denying the humanity of these babies.

A quadrapleagic wouldn't feel pain if you cut off a finger, either.

That doesn't make it okay.

A twelve gage double barrel shotgun blast applied point blank to someone's head results in no pain.

The lack of pain has no bearing on whether murder is immoral.

Does this mean it is OK to kill someone on painkillers. Life is meaningless unless you can feel pain?

How do they come to this conclusion?

They obviously can't ask a fetus, "hey, did that hurt?"

I hate to admit it, but I saw this article posted at DU. Here is one sickening response on their thread: 6. What does pain have to do with abortion? We are terminating a pregnancy. Not worrying about some reflexive action.

If they are delivered at 22 weeks and feel pain, why wouldn't they feel pain at 22 weeks in the womb?
