He's senile.
I totally support Robertson's conclusion.
Just because you're a Christian doesn't mean you have to be a pacifist idiot. Robertson is an excellent conservative. He even denounces the left during prayers on his show. Chavez does need to be assassinated. Robertson frequently makes questionable statements (which he usually retracts), but I don't think this is one of them.
Hmmm nothing from Bush yet calling Pat Robertson a vigilante? He must be still on vacation.
Karl Rove made him say it.
Though I despise Chavez and would dearly enjoy news of his untimely demise, Pat stepped over the line. Pat, shut up and retire already.
Amen.
My guess is that it's more likely that Chavez will bump off Robertson than it is that Bush will bump off Chavez.
I'm sure many are looking forward to that.
Robertson has every right to voice his opinion and his religious views have nothing to do with it, he is a private citizen and if he said something that pisses off that Communist puke Chavez and his leftist buddies, I'm all for it.
As I said in another post on this subject, I say we ought to drill Chavez like a piece of swiss cheese, then go for double or nothing and ventilate Castro until he's suitable for hanging as a wind chime.
Pat Robertson may say some things that are not popular, but this isn't one of 'em.
In November 2002, Robertson charged that the Muslim holy book, the Quran, incites followers to kill people of other faiths...
In August 2005, Robertson, a christian, incites followers to kill people of other cultures..
This is just more made for TV show biz mascarading as news. Robertson will be all over the cable shows. His ratings and donations will go up. That's all. chavez plays the same game.
It's a good thing Pat is self-employed.
One thing overlooked in all this mess, is that the US needs to do something about Chavez, he is far more dangerous to the U.S. than Saddam was in 2002.
"Just another maniac dictator"
Pompous, without a doubt. Socialist absolutely. Communist probably. Anti-US assuredly. Dictator, no. He's actually quite popular in Venezuela currently enjoying a 70% approval rating, a number that most U.S. politicians would kill for. Pats comments, if anything, will be good for a little bump in his approval rating, it will be interpreted as a validation of Chavez's rhetoric.
"he is far more dangerous to the U.S. than Saddam was in 2002"
How do you figure that?
Can Pat get secret service protection now? /sarc
Maybe that's what Roberts is hoping for. If Chavez has him whacked, there will be a whole lot of folk calling for the head of Hugo.
