Rumsfeld is having a press conference. Under the Fox News Alert the big banner read:
Rumsfeld says that Able Danger briefed the 9/11 Commission.
Did anyone hear his remarks on this matter; all I've seen is the banner.

I don't know the answer to that.

Did you see the story today of the third guy who said he had it attached to his wall at Andrews AFB and when he took it down, it tore the drywall?

I wasn't the one that accused him of covering up. I just kept reminding him that the story was out there. Hugh is pretty sharp but very cautious on matters such as this.

Ocean, did Weldon hold up a copy of the chart when he made his first comments about ABLE DANGER in June, I think.

yes. but what is the meaning of the "it tore the drywall" part - was that an excuse for why he didn't have a hardcopy of it?
To: mware
not sure. but it would have to have had a chain of custody as a classified document leading back to 2000 when it was generated. I mean, you and I could whip up a powerpoint document that looked like that.
To: oceanview
I don't know. What would really intrigue me is if these covert guys are playing a little game and pretending they don't have a copy and come September, viola, here's the copy.
And, btw, if I were going to hand over such extremely valuable information that exonerated me to anyone but especially a Commission in charge of finding out why my colleagues and I messed up, I would ask for a signed receipt of what I gave them.

According to early reports on this story...staffers did not brief all of the commissioners on this...maybe just one or two. Would you like to guess which ones?

Someone said the 9/11 Commission learned about Able Danger too late to include it in the final report. Something doesn't seem right here!
To: Peach
I think we will all find out soon enough.
I am going to buy extra popcorn and get a new set of pajamas for the hearings. :-)

My error, sorry.
Just heard HH say he was holding his fire or something to that effect. I agree with your comment about him. Most informative talk-radio I know of...

If anyone has a copy of the 9/11 Commission Report, they can look and see if the term "Able Danger" occurs in the index.
To: karsar
I heard that and he is just being cautious. Wise move on his part to not rule it out.

There is no index in the 9/11 Commission Report which is convenient, isn't it.
However, I believe it's Starwise who found the online version of the 9/11 Report which DOES contain an index.
I'm quite sure there is no mention of Able Danger.

Gee, maybe the MSM is not covering it because they want to be cautious, too. You know how they NEVER speculate. Facts, that's what they deal in. ;)

As a wild randomized guess, Goerlock (sp) and Benveniste (sp)?

Shocking isn't it? (he said with an air of sarcasm) :-)
The hearings are going to be very interesting. Most of the information will probably be given in closed session. The open session will be squirm city for certain people who liked to build and maintain walls.

"the fact that Gorelick has been mute"
Gorelick did do something. She called up Weldon to tell him she didn't do anything wrong on the 9/11 Commission.

"Which means she'll talk or roll over like Webb Hubbell. Which is it?"
Roll. Which is ironic, because she took Hubbell's place at Justice.
