Are there any plans to reair the 911 special from the past two nights? I missed the second half and if it is going to be replayed i would like to tape it to keep for more in depth viewing at a later date. thankx

Dorothy Rabinowitz thought it worth watching, and she's no Leftist fool.

September 8th and some other dates.
This is a DO NOT miss show. It should be seen by everyone, especially Camp Casey wackos.

I thought the documentary was excellent, well worth watching. It chronicles the events leading up to 9/11 in part 1, then all the events of the day of 9/11 in part 2. I felt it was mostly objective in its presentation, though they did fail to point out some of the failings of the Clinton administration, while making a point of mentioning that Bush was on vacation in Crawford (showing footage of him cutting wood) when the famous "Bin Laden determined to attack in America" memo came out.

I certainly hope so. I watched Part 1 and found it compelling but was fighting a cold and went to bed early last night and missed part 2.
Two things: it confirmed my suspicions that the hijacker on Flight 93-the pilot was having second thoughts and almost backed out. He seemed the most "normal" of them all.
Second, was there a problem with the editing or with my TV. There was something going on that was distracting during Part 1 and wondered if anyone else had the same problem.

My cable company does not have National Geographic. Does anyone know if it might air elsewhere?
Also, on the thread for the first night, there was a phone number where the DVD could be ordered (after 9/16). I wrote it down, but evidently, not correctly. I have never been asked to enter a pin number before.

Go to nationalgeographic.com and you can purchase the DVD. $29.95 plus shipping. Preording for September 16 shipment. I missed the shows and ordered today, not realizing they were going to air them again so soon.

Absolutely excellent National Geographic Channel 4-hour documentary (two 2-hour segments) with very few commercials, dealing with the rise of Islamic terrorism, growth in number and intensity of attacks, culminating with extensive coverage of 911 and our reaction to it.
There is no particular point of view, other than that we should have seen it coming and that it's not over yet.
It's told very matter-of-factly, mostly a just-the-facts-m'am approach, and is still emotionally wrenching and worrisome.
EVERYONE should see this program.

I also agree..showed Clinton as inattentive and Able Danger (listed in show as DOD intel) having identified ATTA
made good point of no response to USS COLE attack by Clinton or BUSH. 2nd half showed fog of war and lack of any real military response on day of 9/11. DID report on BUSH response of Patriot act, and take out of Taliban and
IRAQ..seemed balanced and led anyone with above room temp IQ to see much more than 9/11 commission hog wash needs to come out.

I enjoyed watching the two part special (as much as anyone can enjoy reliving that horrible day).
On a stylistic note, I disliked how they kept showing the terrorists faces waving as if on a flag. It was disturbing visually and quite unneccessary.
