You have at least an inch to spare..should work great.
I hate to ask you to look again but do the antennae have a round sort of like a cap on the very top? If it does I'm thinking maybe you could attach some kind of larger object on it to keep the flag from blowing off the top.

Most Americans ( like the young woman in the picture ) are good folks at heart. It's unfortunate that media whores like Cindy hog all the face time on camera, but given the equally-whorish nature of the mass media, it is not surprising.
What I find revealing is the sudden silence and vanishing of "Mutha Sheehan."

I bet they participated in the original anti-war movement. I think the Peace signs give them away!
"Bring our children home?" I think the US Military aught to go to the troops and find "their children"(if they really have any there) and send them home to these parents. Maybe this will shut them up! However, I think "their children" should have the choice of stay there if they choose.
I'm glad that there are people out there that can tell the world that Cindy and her ilk do not speak for all of America. I was livid one morning when I saw a sign on the news that said, "America supports Cindy." I think NOT!
