I have received dozens of emails with this heading: Go Home and Take Care of Your Kids. I think of all the name calling and unnecessary and untrue trashing of my character, this one offends me the most. What do the people who send me this message mean?

The lunatic is on the grass
The lunatic is on the grass
Remembering games and daisy chains and laughs
Got to keep the loonies on the path
The lunatic is in the hall
The lunatics are in my hall
The paper holds their folded faces to the floor
And every day the paper boy brings more
And if the dam breaks open many years too soon
And if there is no room upon the hill
And if your head explodes with dark forbodings too
I'll see you on the dark side of the moon
The lunatic is in my head
The lunatic is in my head
You raise the blade, you make the change
You re-arrange me 'till I'm sane
You lock the door
And throw away the key
There's someone in my head but it's not me.
And if the cloud bursts, thunder in your ear
You shout and no one seems to hear
And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes
I'll see you on the dark side of the moon
She actually just wants you to do her laundry, make her dinner, and give her a bunch of leftovers to take back with her.
Did W take a penicillen shot after meeting this bitch?
Just quoting another Floyd lyric about the situationists in Crawford.
Hey, Cindy.
See what you can do:
Chicken Pot Pies with Puff Pastry
INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup unsalted butter
4 cups chicken broth
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup dried onion flakes
1 dash hot pepper sauce
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1 bay leaf
1 (8 ounce) can carrots, drained
1 (8 ounce) can white potatoes
2 cups diced cooked chicken
4 slices Swiss cheese
1 sheet frozen puff pastry, cut into four squares
1 egg, beaten with
1 tablespoon water
DIRECTIONS:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Spray 4 small, oven-proof bowls with cooking spray.
2. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Stir in 2 cups chicken broth, and whisk in all of the flour, gradually adding the remaining chicken broth until you have a smooth, slightly thick base. Mix in onion flakes, hot pepper sauce, pepper, thyme, bay leaf, and carrots. Cook about 5 minutes. Stir in potatoes and chicken, and cook for another 5 minutes.
3. In the bottom of each prepared bowl, place a slice of Swiss cheese. Divide the chicken mixture equally into the four bowls, over the cheese. Place a puff pastry square over the top of each bowl, pressing lightly around the rim. Brush the pastry with the egg and water mixture. Place the four bowls on a baking sheet.
4. Bake for about 25 minutes, or until pastry is puffed and golden brown. Let rest at least 5 minutes before serving.
Looks like she is simply angry at her son for not bowing to her. By trashing the war she trashes the decisions he made as an independent adult, and thus can feel good about herself for "proving" [in her own mind] that she was right and Casey was wrong.
Oh, if Casey had only done things her way (and not enlisted) everything would have been just fine. That seems to be what she wants to believe, anyway. It's either that or implode from the realization that she's the one fully responsible for any alienation that occurred in the family relationships. Easier to blame Bush...
Ahh, I see. Thanks.
It's not hard to outdo me quoting rock lyrics. ;^)
Why do Freepers keep misplacing their sympathy? That's just what the left and Cindy wants.
Hypocrites and liars (Cindy's blog - Chafing under her handlers )
The media are wrong. The people who have come out to Camp Casey to help coordinate the press and events with me are not putting words in my mouth, they are taking words out of my mouth. I have been known for sometime as a person who speaks the truth and speaks it strongly. I have always called a liar a liar and a hypocrite a hypocrite. Now I am urged to use softer language to appeal to a wider audience. Why do my friends at Camp Casey think they are there? Why did such a big movement occur from such a small action on August 6, 2005?
Contrary to what the main stream media thinks, I did not just fall off a pumpkin truck in Crawford, TX on that scorching hot day two weeks ago. I have been writing, speaking, testifying in front of Congressional committees, lobbying Congress, and doing interviews for over a year now. I have been pretty well known in the progressive, peace community and I had many, many supporters before I even left California.
Yea, watch her request some labor intensive dinner like Pot Stickers! If I ever get a hold of the guy that unleashed that recipe on my family....
Yum. ;-)
A dope fiend can enjoy the rush of taking heroin but it still isn't healthy or in her best interest.
Let me get this right. She says she doesn't need to go home because her kids are adults. I do believe Casey was an adult as well.
Your OWN son asked that you come home, you insensitive moron. He is your child no matter how old he is. He is watching his family fall apart around him and would like some comfort from you, his mother, a member of his family. Is he some sort of evil, sexist right-winger? I am not a soccer mom, nor is my husband a NASCAR fan, we're parents. We take care of our kids. We don't need or want any help, and certainly no advice from you. We've got a pretty good idea of how you take care of your kids, so no thanks, Cindy. I think we'll pass.
And before you start in on whether or not I am encouraging my kids to join the military: Is that what happened with Casey? Did you encourage him to join the military? Did he listen to you, or not? I have tried my best to raise my kids to make good, well thought out decisions ON THEIR OWN, and I encourage and support them when they do. So, if one decides to join the military, you better believe I will support and encourage them 100%. I wouldn't be able to hide my pride! But it is their decision, Cindy, not mine. I trust them to make decisions based on what is right for THEM, not ME.
That's what your son did, Cindy. It's too bad that makes you feel like you failed as a parent.
She knows exactly what she's doing. She's always had these beliefs. Her sons death gave her a platform. I find that cold. He obviously didn't agree with her politics either since he volunteered. And she'll use him anyway. That's a leftist.
She has other kids? The way she's been acting you would think she was the only mother on earth and she lost her only child.
Well they HAVE been in a ditch!
She hasn't caught on to that yet.
You guys are makin' wayyyyyyyyy too much sense today!
Any bets that oil and gasoline prices will start falling on 9/6/05? After all, that's the first work day following Labor Day.
