Well trained jihadi nap alert. Looks like all that training for ground fighting will finally pay off.

I'll pay for saying this.... karate is overrated.
Judo, now that's something!

There's the ever so sweet guy comment about these koranimals:
Abu Baker Jabrati, a former karate colleague of Awida's, said the latter was kind and sweet when he met him at the time they were both training for the Saudi national championship back in 1992.
Yeah Jabrati..he was so nice after all./s

Sounds like those world-class karate skills were extremely useful versus a Glock.

Wax on, Wax off.
Waxxed terrorist.

I'll pay for saying this.... karate is overrated. Karate is far overrated when it comes up against a rifle squad from the US Army or Marines.

I always prefer to use Gun Fu.

Sucks for Al Qaeda... they just lost a valuable unarmed combat instructor.

My other brother-in-law died. He was a karate expert, then joined the army. The first time he saluted, he killed himself.

" Karate is far overrated when it comes up against a rifle squad from the US Army or Marines." It works well teaching knife fighting skills against 110 lbs woman flight attendant.

That is a reason Judo is an Olympic sport and Karate isn't .... having said that .... neither works in a gunfight .... no matter what Bruce Lee & company say.

It works well teaching knife fighting skills against 110 lbs woman flight attendant. While that is very true, never again will she go unaided. BTW when I fly I always carry a new pair of long gym socks and 3-4 rolls of quarters in my briefcase. Security doesn't seem to mind and when I put my 240 pounds behind it, something is going to break, karate or not.

Any interested, I mean REALLY interested, in the martial arts will study many disciplines aside from their principle one. Hand-to-hand combat is non-existent in the streets of Iraq and Afghanistan between the terrorists and our guys. This means that the training that was given was probably of the stalk-and-kill nature (e.g., silently neutralizing a security guard inside a building). Some of the training videos for the Marines in this type of hand-to-hand is pretty hairy and brutally effective.
