Attempted Abduction Foiled At Skating Rink

TAMPA, Fla. -- Tampa police say an attempted child abduction at a skating rink was foiled when the would-be victim kicked her attacker and freed herself.

Authorities say a balding man in a blue mesh jersey entered the rink on Armenia Avenue over the weekend and grabbed a 12-year-old girl by the arm.

Police say he began pulling her toward the door when the girl started to scream and kick the suspect with her skate. He let go and she rushed to her friends.

Police say the man has also been spotted at a rink in the Carrollwood area.

The manager tells officials other young girls have complained about the suspect, and he had told the man to leave them alone.

Police are looking for a Hispanic male 30 to 40 years old, about five-feet-five, with tattoos on his arms and legs.

They'll never find the guy. There's hundreds of people fitting this description crossing the border all the time, and the entire Federal Government can't seem to find them.

He was probably just attempting to abduct one of the 12 year old girls that native-born Americans can't or won't abduct for themselves.

And of course, I love the description.

In NYC last week some guys knifed someone and one of the suspects was described as a "young male, wearing a blue and white striped shirt and dark pants."

I'm on the lookout for that one. I hope I spot him - if I see anyone answering to that description I will notify the police immediately.

I have a mantra that my and children and I say frequently. Fight Fight Fight, Don't get scared, get mad. That last one over and over about three times. I want them to not freeze, but let their own anger at what is happening take over and hopefully save their life. I pray nothing ever happens for them to use this, but you never know.

Good for her. Some guy tried to kidnap a girl in Syracuse the other day. He actually got her into his car, but some people who saw it managed to use their cars to corner him

They need to catch this dude quickly. He seems determined to get a little girl. Fortunately, this little girl had the guts to fight. However, there are a lot of little girls who will be too scared to fight back, or they will be unsure of what to do in a moment's notice, so this guy will eventually get what he looking for. The police need to go all out and catch this guy.

I call anything east of I-17 and South of I-10 lower New York. Tampa and that area is closer to Massachusetts.
