I find all the talk about Islam being part of the constitution ludicrous. What did they expect, for them to adopt Christianity?

The strain of Islam currently practiced in Iraq, both Shia and Sunni, has consistently rejected the wahabbi influence, am I wrong about that?

Our own Constitution had (thankfully) its religious influence. I'm not sure its a bad thing that their religion plays a role, as long as the government doesn't outlaw other religions.

It's just more of the MSM trying to make a story. Judging from FReeper comments, it seems targeted at Republicans.
